As it's been left so long, then the filter will be restricted by unburnable residue and a recon one will likely pay for itself in better power and economy.
Also check the additive ECU is now correct with it's quantity and fully functional.

We were under the impression the injectors may need to get remapped or reprogrammed.Unless i can blag a peug diagnostic system i will have to bite the bullet and go to the main dealer.If i stop the engine and restart the limitation goes away but the antipolution faul eroor remains on the comptuter until I start over few more times.Thanks for your quick reply too by the way spider-man Let's take you problems in order of priority.

I removed creative driver game port vista the particulate filter (DPF) and replaced with another, with new particulate temperature sensor, but the fault remained so I swapped back to the original parts.
Does that clarify things a bit?

Does anybody know of a cheap code reader that works.Would really appreciate that.I replaced it but fault was still there.it is a bosch ecu - so that one can be dealt with above.I was aware of them all (pretty minor things) except that apparently the fly wheel for the clutch is making a 'ting' noise and is disintegrating.
